The Particle Electronics Professional Committee Annual Meeting was held in the Department of Modern Physics, USTC. The meeting attracted 16 members of the Committee from domestic pretigious universities, research institutions and minitary units to Hefei, April 7-9, 2013.

The meeting was chaired by the Committee chairman, Prof. Liu Yinong, from the Department of Engineering Physics, Tsinghua University. At the very beginning of the meeting, welcoming remarks were made by Prof. Chen Xiangjun, director of the Dept. of Modern Physics at USTC. Then, Prof. An Qi introduced the positioning of the State Key Laboratory of Particle Detection and Electronics, the state key laboratory’s academic research areas, disciplinary developments, accomplishments, as well as its team-building status.

During the meeting, thr Committee members introduced relevant research and technology development circumstances of their respective working organizations, they discussed fully on the following topics, e.g. strengthen academic exchanges between domestic counterparts, speed up the development of cutting-edge technologies with multi-disciplinary in the field of particle electronics in China.

Moreover, the Committee members have also visited the state key laboratory, there was a lively discussion between the Committee members, the teachers and the students on the subject of related academic research topics and technological development, they also explored a number of collaborative research topics during the visit.
