
Wang Pei, is a Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at the Department of Optics and Optical Engineering, School of Physical Sciences, University of Science and Technology of China (USTC). He is currently the group leader of the Micro and Nano Optics and Technology Group, Deputy Director of the Anhui Provincial Key Laboratory of Optoelectronic Science and Technology, and Deputy Director of the Anhui Provincial Laboratory of Advanced Laser Technology. He serves as the head of the Optics course group at USTC, a member of the 7th Optical Physics Professional Committee of the Chinese Physical Society, and Vice President of the Anhui Optical Society. He has received numerous accolades including the Anhui Provincial Outstanding Youth Award, Anhui Provincial Excellent Science and Technology Worker Award, National Excellent Science and Technology Worker Award, the Wang Kuancheng Talent Award, the Distinguished Teaching Award, the Excellence in Teaching Award, and the Role Model Spirit Award from USTC.
With over 20 years of research in micro-nano optics and optical field regulation, he has published more than 100 SCI papers and authored a textbook Optics. He has led numerous research projects including key and general projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, sub-projects of the 973 Program, and 863 Foundation projects. He has supervised and co-supervised over 20 Ph.D. students, many of whom have received prestigious awards such as the President's Award of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Daheng Award, the Zhu Liyuehua Award, the Wang Daheng Optics Award, the Qiushi Award, and the National Scholarship.
