Prof. LU Chaoyang won the Adolph Lomb Medal from Optical Society of America

On February 21st , Optical Society of America (OSA) announced that Prof. LU Chaoyang from University of Science and Technology of China won the 2020 Adolph Lomb medal, “for significant contributions to optical quantum information technologies, especially on high-performance single-photon sources, quantum teleportation and optical quantum computing.”         

Founded in 1940, the Adolph Lomb Medal is one of the oldest awards of the Optical Society of America. It is awarded to a young scientist who has made outstanding contributions in the field of optics every year internationally. This year marks the 80th anniversary of the medal, and Chinese scientist won the award for the first time for research work in mainland.
