Wang Hong is a specially appointed professor and doctoral supervisor at the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC). He is a recipient of the National Innovation Talent Program for Young Researchers. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in Applied Physics from Hefei University of Technology in 2007 and earned his Ph.D. in Condensed Matter Physics from USTC in 2013. He then conducted postdoctoral research at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore. He joined the School of Physical Sciences at USTC in 2021. His primary research interests include novel semiconductor materials and electronic devices. He has published over 20 SCI papers in prestigious international journals such as Nature, Nature Communications, Advanced Materials, and JACS, with a total of over 1,500 citations.
