In 1993, I received my Ph.D. in Science from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) and was awarded the Guo Moruo Scholarship. Since then, I have remained at USTC as a faculty member. Currently, I am a professor, doctoral supervisor, Party secretary, and vice dean of the School of Physical Sciences, USTC. From 1996 to 1997, I was a visiting scholar at the Japan Atomic Energy Research Institute. From 1999 to 2000, I was a visiting professor at the University of Tokyo.
I have been dedicated to undergraduate physics education for a long time and was named an Anhui Provincial Teaching Master in 2009. In 2007, I received a special government allowance from the State Council. I am the deputy chairman of both the National College Electromagnetics Teaching Research Association and the National College Mechanics Teaching Research Association. In 2015, I was nominated for the Special Prize of the Baosteel Excellent Teacher Award. My research has long focused on nuclear physics and its applications, covering areas such as particle physics, neutron physics, detection technology, positron physics, and muon physics. I have led several research projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China and Chinese Academy of Sciences, and have published over 140 papers in prestigious international and domestic academic journals. Additionally, I serve as a board member of the Chinese Nuclear Society, an executive director of the Chinese Nuclear Physics Society, the vice chairman of the Anhui Nuclear Society, and an editorial board member of the journals Nuclear Physics Review, Physics, and Modern Physics Knowledge.
