The First Sino-Americas Workshop and School on the Bound-State Problem in Continuum QCD was held at University of Science and Technology of China on October 22-26. The workshop was chaired by Prof. Qun Wang. The workshop started in the morning of Oct. 22 . The deputy dean of the School of Physics, Prof. Bangjiao Ye gave an opening address, who wished a successful conference where researchers can exchange their new idea through discussions during the conference.
About 65 physicists in this field take part in the workshop. The participants will present their recent work on Parton distribution functions and spin structure of hadrons, QCD in-medium, QCD phase transitions, AdS/CFT and novel approaches to QCD, Dyson-Schwinger equations and QCD and related topics . Several world leading theorists, i.e., Prof. Craig Roberts from Argonne National Laboratory, Prof Dirk Rischke from University Frankfurt and Prof. Stanley Brodsky from SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory, are invited to give several review talks. The conference will further strengthen the international cooperation between USTC and other institutions in elementary particle physics.
