The fifth workshop on hadron physics in China and Opportunities in US was taken place in Huangshan city, Anhui province, July 2 – July 6. The topics of this workshop is to discuss hadron structure and QCD, few-body Physics, nuclear medium effects, low energy tests of the Standard Model and 12GeV upgrade project at Jefferson Lab (JLab) in US. The motivation of this workshop is to promote further development of hadron physics in China and to further enhance the collaboration between the Chinese and the US hadron physics communities. More than 70 experts and scholars from China, USA, French, Germany, Netherlands, Spain, Korea, Russia attend this workshop. About 50 of them present their work. During meeting, scientists from China and US have warmly discussion on collaboration on hardware and physics topics for 12GeV upgrade project at JLab. After meeting, Prof. Jianping Chen from JLab visited USTC, and discussed R&D of GEM detector for SoLID, and visited laboratory for GEM.
The workshop is organized by USTC and Huangshan University. Thanks for the support from “State Key Laboratory of Particle Detection and Electronics” and “Innovation Center for Elementary Particles and Interactions”, we have a successful meeting.
