PAN Jianwei Named TWAS Fellow 2012

Prof. PAN Jianwei was newly named Fellow of the Academy of Sciences for the Developing World (TWAS) at the TWAS 23rd General Meeting held in Tianjin, China, on Sept. 18th.

As the youngst academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences(CAS), PAN is nominated for his pioneering works on experiments of quantum teleportation, entanglement swapping, entanglement purification, multi-photon entanglement, and practical quantum communication, and for greatly improving China's research in the field. He has won the Fresnel Prize from the European Physical Society, Outstanding Scientist Prize from the Hongkong Qiu Shi Science and Technologies Foundation and Outstanding Science and Technology Achievement Prize, from CAS.
