The Road to Success, in a NAS Member' s View

On August 28th, ZHUANG Xiaowei, a member of National Academy of Sciences of U.S, gave a lecture to USTC freshmen and share her point about how to success in science career.

She shared her life experiences and gave a deep insight into how to be a good science man. According to her, single-mindedness, vision, fearlessness, persistence and some luck is the key to the success.

The audiences were all attracted by both her personal magnetism charisma and academic achievements. ZHUANG set a good example for young USTCers.

From August 25th to 28th ZHUANG Xiaowei communicated with the teachers of the School of Life Sciences and the School of the Chemistry and Materials Science. They talked about future collaboration.

ZHUANG Xiaowei is an alumna of the School for the Gifted Young of USTC. She is investigator of Howard Hughes Medical Institute and professor of chemistry and chemical biology and of physics of Harvard University. In 2011, ZHUANG was offered master chair professorship by USTC.
