Two scientists with the Anhui-based University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) won the 2011 Chen Jiageng Youth Science Awards.
Peng Chengzhi, researcher of school of physical sciences, was awarded for his effort to promote the utilization of quantum communication.
The honor was also given to Wang Yuming, professor with the USTC School of Earth and Space Sciences, who unveiled some valuable phenomena and laws in corona casting.
Established in 2010, the Chen Jiageng Youth Science Awards are received by six scientists under 40 whose work is original and of Chinese independent intellectual property right every two years.
