Abstract: In this talk, I will present a critical overview of the status of our understanding of the turbulent transport of toroidal momentum and of intrinsic rotation in tokamaks. I will review the current status and will discuss what is currently understood, where understanding exists but is still developing, and what is not understood and merits further study. The overview includes a mixture of experimental, theoretical and computational results.
