2010 The National Natural Science Foundation of China announced its support for 56 applications of School of Physical Sciences, USTC. The total number of application is up to 104, 56 of which are approved. The ration, reaches as high as 54%,is on top of the whole university.
Our budget supported by National Natural Science Foundation of China amounts to 29.92 million yuan this year. In which, characterized by categories, 14 Foundation for the Youth, 1 overseas cooperation project, 35 General Program, 1 Key Program, 3 Major Program and 2 Distinguished Young Scholar amounted 3.04，0.2，14.73，2.6，5.35 and 4 million yuan, respectively.
From all over the funding applications, our school applied 9 Distinguished Young Scholar project, 5 Major Program, 2 Key Program,2 overseas cooperation project, 62 General Program, 24 General Program for youth .The number of approved projects among them is 2,3,1,1,35 and 14, respectively. The approval fractions are 23%, 60%, 50%, 50%, 57%, 59%, respectively.
